Getting Help With Special Needs at Maple Hayes School
An informative meeting is being held at Maple Hayes School in November to help parents of children with Dyslexia get the help they need in getting on the right pathway for appropriate education.
Maple Hayes Dyslexia School in Lichfield, Staffordshire is teaming up with HCB Solicitors to present an informative seminar on how to get Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision for your child and help along the Education Health and Care (EHC) plan process.
The Education Law Department of HCB Solicitors will be hosting the event at the leading school for Dyslexia - located on Abnalls Lane - on Saturday 20th November from 11.30am.
The talk aims to bring parents of children with SEN including Autism and Specific Learning Difficulties such as Dyslexia up-to-speed with how to ensure an appropriate EHC plan is in place for their child.
The workshop will be most useful to parents of children at Primary Schools who are having difficulty in attaining appropriate provision for their children’s special educational needs.
The HCB Education Team have years of experience representing parents of SEN children and have assisted in securing over 1,000 places at independent specialist schools through special educational needs tribunals.
Maple Hayes headteacher, Dr Daryl Brown, said: “It is so important for parents of children with learning difficulties to know their legal rights. We understand that the SEN system is extremely complex and confusing. Our solicitors will help worried or confused parents navigate through the process.
