School News Update - September 11th 2019

A warm welcome back to all Maple Hayes students for  the Autumn Term 2019!

New Term

After a refreshing summer break, we hope you are all back into the swing of things and are ready for a busy few months ahead.

This term, we welcome  seven new pupils to our school across Years 5, 6 and 7 - so please do what you can to help them settle in: whether taking the time to learn a little more about them or helping to show them around the school, it all helps.

Congratulations!

We would like to congratulate some of our students for their recent extra-curricular successes, including Loui Charles in Year 10, who has passed both the Preliminary and Standard Awards with Great Britain Boxing.

Well done also to Robert Stanton and Charles Liquorish in the Juniors, who took part in the ‘Space Chase’ summer reading challenge at their local library - a fantastic way to develop literacy skills and have fun.

Important Information

We would like to remind Year 9 pupils that swimming lessons will take place every Wednesday morning, so please bring the appropriate swimming kit!

Parents - please be aware that we have updated our school policies for the new academic term. These can be found on the Parents page of the website or in school reception.

The school calendar has been updated on the website, with important dates for this year, including school trips, parents meetings and term dates.

We are currently working on our term dates for 2020-2021, which will be published soon.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs Murray, Mrs Starkey or Miss Cain in the office on 01543 264387 or via email: office@dyslexia.school.
